Residence Massacre Hats, Milestones, and the Hat Shop
How hats work after crates died — shop rows, badge hats, win crowns, and the Anniversary Party Hat.
Hats are the head (and one chest) cosmetics in Residence Massacre. You equip them in lobby Inventory. Default is one hat. Double Hats (99 R$) lets you wear two. After the August 8, 2026 lockdown, crates and gambling were removed. The Night 1 Rework put a Hat shop inside the merged Coins Shop. You buy listed hats for Coins. You still earn other hats from badges and win milestones. Place 14437001043. No promo codes.
This page is the obtainment map. Fashion ranking lives on Cosmetics. Outfit bodies are a different slot — Outfits. Open the shop from the Lobby booth, not from a crate machine that no longer exists.

Retro Camera sits on the chest, not the skull. Telephone still requires Discord verification; if the rover API says cooldown, wait and retry.
Win-milestone crowns
These are the “keep the streak” hats. Wins count across mainline nights (Endless awards one win per day survived after the modifiers update). Crowns do not fill Mutation percent by themselves — they are flex.

Night 1: Headphones (Technician), Ninja Headband (Escape Artist), Eye Poppers (Spooked), Paper Crown (Survivor), Night Vision (Bloodstained Windows). Rework skill badges Guardian Angel / Tripping Hazard / No Place to Hide pay Coins, not hats — Night 1 Badges.
Night 2: Snake Eyes (Not Today), Nurse Hat (Juggernaut), Welder Mask (Fixing Master), Fedora (Employee Of The Month), Hard Hat (Bloodstained Floodlights).
Night 3: Chef Hat (Perfect Cook), Police Cap (Easy Trigger), Camp Headlight (Spider Sense), Hockey Mask (Home Wrecker), Fire Axe (Lakeview Camper).
Memories: Retro Camera (Say Cheese), Dangerous Dude (Solid Snake). Hello World now pays the Miner outfit plus Flare Gun access, not a hat — Outfit Changes.
Endless: Clockwork’s Shades (Eclipse), Shutter Glasses (Loyal Customer), Top Hat Of Bling (Greatest Helper), Red Iron Horns (Against All Odds), Tixsplosion (Greedy). The Tixsplosion name is leftover branding; currency is Coins.
Soda Enthusiast still gives Cola Hat. Sole Survivor still gives Stage Prop.

Buying every non-limited shop hat is one Pirate outfit path (the other is Starter Bundle). Do not dump 3,000 Coins on Void Star before Battery and Radar if you still wipe on Night 1.
Limited hats and Anniversary 2026
The Anniversary 2026 re-run (live August 28, 2026) lists the Milestone Party Hat and returning anniversary hats in the Hat shop. Crates are not back. Historically the party row included Balloon Ninja, Red Hood, Hungry Dino, Pizza Box, Black Antlers, Bighead, and Party Shades (Monster Mash badge). Confirm the mannequin. Four limited badges also return — those may grant hats or outfits; Index first, shop second.
Halloween / Christmas limited hats (Witch Hat, Fire Skull, Santa Hat, Scarf, and the rest) follow event calendars on Halloween 2025 and Christmas 2025. They are not Mutation percent.
Removed hats
When a badge died, its hat often vanished from inventories. Mischief Horns left with Full Wipe when PvP was removed. Many old badge hats were replaced in the Night 1 Rework to cut clutter — if your screenshot from 2024 shows a hat the Index no longer lists, it was retired, not stolen.
