Residence Massacre Soldiers — Military After the Spill

Four peacekeepers tied to Night 3's tank ending and The Bunker distress call — and the strongest hint about Night 4.

Soldiers

Soldiers are Robloxia peacekeepers in forest-camouflage uniforms who appear in two ending cutscenes — the Night 3 tank scene and The Bunker distress-call scene. They are not anomalies and not playable characters: their job is to secure the area around the Robloxia Factory chemical spill, arrest anyone who can speak about the missing Lead Factory Worker, and respond to the distress call The Miner sends from The Bunker. They are also the only public hint so far about where Night 4 might take place. This page covers both scenes, the dialogue players have logged from the official patches, and how the lore hooks into Characters and the Anomalies timeline. Place 14437001043. Online co-op. PvP stays removed. No promo codes.

Four soldiers have been confirmed across the two endings. In Night 3 the visible two are an infantryman with a Sigmund face and a tank operator with a Chill McCool face. In The Bunker the other two are a local commander and a radio operator who coordinate the response. The infantry holds a gun; the tank operator drives the small green tank parked beside the road. Both pair up during the ending interrogation and they speak in a calm, almost legal-procedural tone — the exact opposite of the chaotic in-game radio voice.

What the soldiers say in Night 3

After the sun rises over Lakeview Camp, the surviving Player is shown walking back to their broken-down car with a gas can in hand. They hear another engine. Turning around reveals a small green tank carrying two soldiers in camo. The dialogue, as logged by the community and as written in the Night 3 ending chapter, runs:

Infantryman: “You were at that factory, weren’t you?” Tank operator (off-screen voiceover): “I assume you’ve seen the man in the middle before. If you know anything, I recommend you speak…” Cut to the mansion basement: “It seems as if… something got to him before us.” Voiceover continues: “However, we didn’t find any body at his residence.” Back to the Player: “I’m afraid you’re gonna have to follow us.” Aims gun: “And no funny business.”

The cutaway to the mansion is where Lead Factory Worker lived before he disappeared. The three-claw scar on the basement wall is the only visual clue they leave behind. The dialogue ends with the screen fading to black on the “Survived Night 3” banner — no badge, no outfit, no Coins, but a story beat that firmly hands the player over to military custody.

What the soldiers say in The Bunker

Inside The Bunker, after The Miner triggers his final distress call, a separate radio room appears showing two soldiers on headsets. Their dialogue is the operational half of the same response chain:

Commander: “Do we have the exact location?” Radio operator: “Positive, sir.” Commander: “Send the nearest patrol. Have them on high alert.”

The Miner is heard being attacked mid-call. The commander orders the patrol to investigate anyway — the radio operator passes the coordinates, and the scene fades. That patrol is the same one that finds the Player on the Lakeview road at dawn. In other words, the Night 3 tank scene and the Bunker radio scene happen on the same night, just minutes apart. The Bunker cutscene sets up the Night 3 cutscene; the Night 3 cutscene delivers the payoff.

Why the military is on Robloxia at all

After the radioactive spill in the Robloxia Factory (the same one named on the Night 1 TV breaking-news bumper at 9PM and the intro radio broadcast), the military was deployed to:

  • Secure the affected county, including the factory perimeter, the forest around Lakeview Camp, and any access roads.
  • Rescue civilians still trapped in the spill zone — the Miner’s distress call is one of those requests.
  • Investigate the disappearance of the Lead Factory Worker, who had authority over the spill site.

The military arrived too late. The Miner was already killed by The Abomination before the patrol reached his coordinates. The Player is the only living witness they find. The three-claw scar implies the Lead Factory Worker was either mutated or dragged underground; the mansion was empty when soldiers searched it.

What this implies for Night 4

Tea Studio has not confirmed Night 4, but the soldier ending is the strongest narrative hint so far:

  • The Player is being taken into military custody, which means a military location (base, checkpoint, hospital, black-site bunker) is the most likely Night 4 setting.
  • A radio operator and commander confirming coordinates suggests the soldier cast grows, not shrinks, after Night 3.
  • The “follow us / no funny business” line is the only forced escort beat in the entire main campaign. Tea Studio would not write that beat without a plan to revisit it.

Until Tea Studio ships the night, treat this as informed speculation. The Night 4 status page tracks every patch that nudges the lore; the soldiers entry gets updated when more soldiers or new dialogue appear.

Voice, appearance, and small details

  • Both Night 3 soldiers wear forest camouflage uniforms with a forest cap. The infantry carries a rifle. The tank operator wears the same camo and sits in the cupola of a green tank roughly the size of a small van.
  • The infantry has a Sigmund face; the tank operator has a Chill McCool face. These are pre-made Roblox faces, not custom skins — the same trick the game uses for The Worker and The Player.
  • The Bunker radio soldiers are heard, not seen in full. Their voices are calmer than the in-game radio announcer and lack the warning synth of the Night 1 broadcast.
  • Soldiers are immune to anomalies as far as the lore shows. None of the cutscenes have a soldier die on screen. The Abomination is implied to have killed The Miner, not any soldier.
  • The tank operator’s voiceover in the Night 3 ending is the same voice heard over the mansion cutaway — the soldiers and the voiceover are the same person narrating the same interrogation.

How soldiers connect to the rest of the wiki

  • The Night 3 walkthrough covers the live tank scene players see after sunrise.
  • The Bunker guide explains the radio room and the distress call that triggers it.
  • The Abomination is the anomaly that killed The Miner; the soldiers’ late arrival is the punchline.
  • Lead Factory Worker is the missing man the soldiers were sent to find; he is also the protagonist of the Mansion Incident memory.
  • Updates logs when Tea Studio adds new soldiers, new dialogue, or new military-themed events.

Co-op and player behaviour notes

The ending is the same in solo and co-op — there is no extra dialogue for a four-player clear. Pub lobbies sometimes argue about who the infantry is “really” talking to; canonically, the dialogue is to the Player who walked to the car last, which is usually the teammate that survived closest to the gas can.

Do not stand on the road while the cutscene triggers. The cutscene camera angle can hide players behind the tank, and the soldier tank does not have collision physics — you can be invisible during the fade-to-black. That is a screenshot trick, not a bug. The Halloween 2025 Lakeview Ghost sat on a bench at the same road and never blocked the cutscene.

What soldiers are not

  • Not anomalies — they are normal Robloxians in camo uniforms.
  • Not playable — there is no soldier skin, no “play as soldier” mode, and no role-swap gamemode.
  • Not PvP bosses — PvP was temporarily removed on January 9, 2026. Soldiers never appeared in PvP anyway.
  • Not Night 4 monsters — the soldiers are the opposite of monsters. They are peacekeepers responding to the spill the monsters caused.
  • Not promise of release date — mentioning soldiers in a wiki article does not mean Night 4 is “next patch.” It means the lore is set up for a military location when it ships.
  • Night 3 walkthrough — the ending cutscene that introduces the tank scene.
  • Lakeview Camp — the Night 3 forest map where the cutscene plays.
  • The Bunker — the distress call that explains the soldiers’ presence.
  • Characters — Lead Factory Worker, The Miner, The Player connections.
  • Night 4 status — what the soldier ending could mean for the unreleased night.

The soldiers are the only Robloxia official response players ever see to the spill. They never save anyone on screen; they only ever arrive after the body count. Read them as Tea Studio’s narrative promise that someone is finally taking the spill seriously — and the strongest reason to expect Night 4 to involve the military, not just more mutants.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Residence Massacre survivors.

Who are the Soldiers in Residence Massacre?

Robloxia peacekeepers in forest camo who appear in the Night 3 tank ending and The Bunker radio ending. Four soldiers have been confirmed: an infantry and a tank operator in Night 3, plus a commander and a radio operator in The Bunker.

How many soldiers are in Residence Massacre?

Four confirmed. Two appear visually during the Night 3 ending cutscene (the infantry with a gun and the tank operator), and two speak over the radio during The Bunker ending (the commander and the radio operator).

What do the soldiers say at the end of Night 3?

The infantry says "You were at that factory, weren't you?" and ends with "And no funny business." The tank operator narrates the cutaway to the mansion basement and notes they found no body at the Lead Factory Worker's residence.

Why are the soldiers at Lakeview Camp?

They were sent in response to The Miner's distress call from The Bunker. They arrived to find the Miner dead and the only living witness is the Player refueling their car at sunrise.

Do the soldiers fight anomalies?

Lore implies they are immune, but no soldier dies on screen. Their narrative role is to react to the spill aftermath, not to fight monsters directly. PvP was temporarily removed in January 2026; soldiers never appeared in PvP anyway.

Do the soldiers appear in Night 4?

Night 4 has not been released. The soldier ending is the strongest lore hint that Night 4 takes place in a military setting, but Tea Studio has not confirmed any date.

Can I play as a soldier in Residence Massacre?

No. Soldiers are NPCs that appear only in cutscenes. They are not sold in the Coins Shop, are not on the Badge Index, and do not have a Memories unlock path.
