Memories Hub

Memories are scripted survival nights that sit beside mainline Night 1–3 in Residence Massacre. You still prep, manage power, and avoid anomalies — but each memory swaps the protagonist, map, or win condition. This hub answers “what are Residence Massacre memories,” “how to unlock The Bunker,” and “which memory badge buys which shop item” without burying you in a single walkthrough.

Queue memories from lobby cars (same parking lot as nights and Endless after the lobby unification). Place 14437001043. Night 4 is not a memory and is not released — Night 4. No promo codes.

How memories differ from mainline nights

  • Cast — You are not always “the player coming home from the factory.” Miner and Lead Factory Worker change dialouge and item fantasy.
  • Objectives — Bunker leans on sound meter, camera flash, tablet, and distress call timing; Spirit Helper leans on child-scale stealth and sanity.
  • Rewards — Same 10 Coin clear baseline as nights (Double Coins applies; VIP does not multiply — How to Earn Coins), plus badge-gated shop rows.
  • Mutation bar — Memory badges (non-limited) feed Mutation Outfit percent. Limited event rows usually do not.
  1. Clear mainline Night 1 so generator/camera language is automatic.
  2. Spirit Helper — shortest conceptual jump for many squads.
  3. Mansion Incident — heavier defense reading.
  4. The Bunker — sound discipline and Abomination jukes; read The Miner lore so the distress call ending makes sense with Night 3 soldiers.

Skipping straight to Bunker is fine if your squad already understands hiding and flashlight discipline from Night 3.

Halloween routing note

During Halloween 2025, The Bunker could also be entered by talking to the Lakeview Ghost (Miner ghost) on Night 3. The car route remains the standing method. Event details: Halloween 2025.

Deja Vu and memory completionists

Deja Vu requires every memory badge and awards Sacrifice after Outfit Changes. Plan Bloodmoon variants (Nightmare, Bloody Mansion, Purgatory) as separate sessions — do not assume one clear finishes the Index row.

Co-op habits for memory nights

  • Announce which memory in the car panel before Play.
  • Assign sound / sanity / camera roles explicitly — mainline camera callouts do not always map 1:1.
  • Equip memory-relevant tools (Flare for Bunker practice after unlock, Medkit for mistakes).
  • After clears, open Badge Index before buying the shop unlock so you do not wonder why Flare Gun is still grey.

Memory badge → shop reward cross-reference

A clean clear of any of the three memories is enough for one shop row; Bloodmoon runs unlock the rest:

MemoryFirst-clear badgeShop row it unlocksBloodmoon badgeBloodmoon unlock
Spirit HelperSpirit HelperPlushie itemNightmare on BloodmoonCandy Bucket variant + Plushie recolor
Mansion IncidentMansion IncidentCandy Bucket itemBloody MansionMansion skins + Chef hat
The BunkerHello WorldFlare Gun + Miner outfitPurgatory + Solid SnakeVessel outfit + Bunker helmet

Mutation progress bars do not pop from limited Bloodmoon badges — they only count non-limited clears. If you are farming the Mutation Outfit percent, redo the base memories with a different modifier stack, not Bloodmoon.

Pitfalls that brick memory runs

  • Skipping Spirit Helper briefing — the child-scale stealth rules differ from mainline. Doors are wider, sanity recovery is slower, and Pests respond to flashlight flicker.
  • Treating Bunker like Night 2 — there is no generator, no camera, and The Abomination jukes on flashlight flickers, not chases. Sound meter discipline matters more than sight lines. Read The Abomination before queueing.
  • Buying the wrong badge row — limited Bloodmoon badges lock after the event. If you miss Halloween 2025, you cannot farm Purgatory; the same is true for Nightmare on Bloodmoon outside the Bloodmoon rotation.
  • Solo queue with strangers — memory runs rely on role assignment (sound caller, sanity healer, tablet holder). A pub of randoms usually wipes by 3 AM on Bunker; a stacked trio clears Mansion Incident first try.

When memories launched

All three shipped during the 2025 content wave alongside the modifier system (added January 31, 2025). Mansion Incident is the oldest of the trio; Bunker launched with the lore reveal connecting it to The Miner and the Lakeview camp survivors; Spirit Helper came later as the accessible entry point. Each was rebalanced during the January 2026 QoL — pest climb slowdown during blackouts, Mansion Incident floor-divide behavior, and Bunker sound meter smoothing.

Pick one memory, clear it clean, buy the unlock, then move on. Memories are the lore backbone — and the shop gate — between Night 3 and the still-missing Night 4.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Residence Massacre survivors.

How many memories are in Residence Massacre?

Three: Spirit Helper, Mansion Incident, and The Bunker. Queue them from lobby cars.

Do memories give Coins?

Yes. Clears pay the same 10 Coin baseline as mainline nights before Double Coins. VIP does not multiply that baseline after the rework.

What does The Bunker unlock?

Hello World unlocks the Miner outfit and Flare Gun in the Coins Shop. Other Bunker badges unlock hats or the Vessel outfit on Bloodmoon (Purgatory).

Is Night 4 a memory?

No. Night 4 is an unreleased mainline night. Memories are separate car options.

Which memory should I play first?

Spirit Helper is the gentlest onboarding for most squads after Night 1. Tackle The Bunker once sound and hide discipline feel solid.
