Residence Massacre The Worker — Ally to Anomaly
From factory hiding spot to Night 3 Husk and Spider — how to fight the friend who mutates.
The Worker is the ally you meet on Night 2 who becomes the Night 3 antagonist after he mutates in the lodge. Community shorthand splits the monster into The Husk (headless body, also called Mutated Worker) and The Spider (the detached head). Full mark and dodge notes live on that page. He also drives the delivery truck in Endless. If your squad still calls every threat “Larry,” this page is the vocabulary fix.
Residence Massacre by MisterGamer_67 / Tea Studio, Place 14437001043, online co-op. Night 4 is not out — soldiers only ask about him in the Night 3 ending. See Night 4 status.
The embedded Night 3 walkthrough is real factory-to-cabin footage — watch the lodge mutation and cabin siege, then use the tables below in voice chat.
Night 2 — the hiding coworker
On the factory shift you find The Worker in a storage hiding spot, complaining about the job and the danger. After 6 AM he leaves with you. Repair Worker is a different NPC: you send him from the office computer to fix floodlight cables on the catwalks. If The Pest is on that cable, Repair Worker dies and repairs lock for the rest of the night.
Do not confuse Worker (story ally) with Repair Worker (system). Call “ally in storage” vs “send repair on floodlight 3.”
Night 3 — mutation, Husk, Spider
The pair drives until the car dies on empty gas. You loot a lakeview camp for Gas Cans. The Worker coughs blood, peels off to the lodge, and you find him crouched with a bloody chair. After the transformation he attacks; you slam the door. His head separates: two anomalies until 6 AM.
The Husk (Mutated Worker)
Headless, larger than a Robloxian, chest split into a toothed mouth with spine-as-tongue, long bloody fingers. Graves reskin: Headless Horseman / black skin / bat wings. Blizzard reskin: Christmas-tree arms. Stacks if both modifiers are on.
Behavior:
- Roams the camp from 12 AM and knows where you are unless you are inside a cabin.
- Every second shotgun shot lures him toward that cabin — hide under the bed so he does not “see” you inside.
- If The Spider marks you, Husk becomes aggressive, breaks the cabin door, and if the cabin is already wrecked he grabs you from under the bed.
- Chase is Mutant-like: outrun or die. Static through windows after he stares long enough.
- Flare Gun stuns like a shotgun shot without building shotgun immunity. Shotgun still works after a flare.
Stay off the main path. Use trail cameras. Trees snag him during kites. Marshmallow speed and Snowball slow are map tools — Night 3.
The Spider
The detached head. Marks players, forces Husk door breaks, attacks through windows and holes. Do not get marked in a broken cabin. Rotate to a pristine cabin. Full split roster: Anomalies.
Endless — truck driver
In Endless he is not hunting you. He delivers crates. Give Gas Cans to Truck Worker when asked. Getting hit by the truck is Roadkill. Guide: Endless.
Items and badges tied to him
- Bloody Job — Worker-themed badge; unlocks Medkit and Crowbar in the Coins Shop.
- Hello World — Miner/Bunker line, not Worker, but soldiers connecting factory photos in Night 3 make the lore overlap. Outfit Changes put Miner on Hello World.
- Flare Gun — best Husk panic button after Bunker.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Residence Massacre survivors.
Is The Worker the Night 3 boss in Residence Massacre?
Yes. After mutating in the lodge he splits into The Husk (body) and The Spider (head). Both hunt until 6 AM.
Where does The Worker appear before Night 3?
He hides in Night 2 storage and leaves with you at dawn. In Endless he drives the morning delivery truck.
How do you counter The Husk?
Stay in cabins, hide under beds after every second shotgun shot, avoid Spider marks, kite through trees, and use Flare Gun stuns that do not build shotgun immunity.
What is the difference between The Worker and Repair Worker?
The Worker is the story ally who mutates. Repair Worker is the NPC you send from the Night 2 computer to fix floodlight cables. The Pest can kill Repair Worker.
Does The Worker appear in Night 4?
Night 4 is unreleased. Soldiers in the Night 3 ending ask about Lead Factory Worker and the factory incident, which continues that plot.
