Residence Massacre Solo Survival After the Night 1 Rework
One-player routing for cameras, closet QTE, generator, and modifiers when nobody else queued.
Residence Massacre is built for online co-op, but the lobby car lets you set player count to 1. Solo is legal. Solo is also how most first wipes happen after the Night 1 Rework. Closets are a QTE, the ladder is shared with the satellite, and Larry’s remodel punishes slow camera cycles. This page collapses four-player roles onto one pair of hands. Place 14437001043. Coins, not TIX. No codes.
If you can already clear pubs, still skim the Blizzard fireplace and House Chaos notes — those modifiers scale easier with fewer bodies. That is the one place solo is the intended difficulty, not a handicap.
Car settings
In the Lobby set max players to 1 (or friends-only with nobody joining). Do not enable House Chaos on your first solo. Start vanilla Night 1, then Thunderstorm, then Bloodmoon. Equip a shop tool before you sit: Battery if you lack Better Flashlight, Lemonade if stamina deaths outnumber QTE fails, Radar only after Night 2 factories feel unfair.
Double Tools is the best solo Robux spend after Iron Lungs — two equipped items replace the teammate who used to carry cola.
Night 1 solo route (rework house)
Daylight is 4 PM–midnight. You do not have a camera main and a hammer main. Sequence:
- Radio first. Ladder and plank piles print “It’s not the moment” until the broadcast plays.
- Loot Wrench, Flashlight, Hammer, Gas Can on a single downstairs loop. Do not tour the woods twice.
- Two cameras, then satellite if you still want the TV secret, then remaining cameras. One ladder. If it breaks, you lose Technician and the dish.
- Barricade exterior windows the Mutant actually tests. Interior over-planking is how solo dies with a full hammer and an open kitchen window. Barricades & Generator.
- Generator fuel before midnight. Fuse box is on the satellite wall — wrench stays in the hotbar.
- Skip the 9PM news watch if you are late. Police cars still kill AFK on the road.
At night, you are cameras, repairs, and QTE. Cycle tablets once a minute, not as a movie. When Larry is at a window, flashlight scare, then move. When he is inside, closet QTE is a reset, not a camp. Spit traps on the floor are Tripping Hazard farms — walk around them unless you are hunting that badge.
No Place to Hide is a dedicated no-closet clear. Do not attempt it on your first solo Bloodmoon.
Night 2 and Night 3 solo
Night 2 asks you to be UV, floodlight, and Pest dodge at once. Buy the shop UV path with Coins if the factory tablet is starving you. Never send Repair Worker onto a cable The Pest occupies. Power Saver (no generator refill) is a badge, not a beginner goal.
Night 3 solo means you are the shotgun, the bed hide, and the mark caller. The Spider marking you in a broken cabin is a rotate-or-die. Flare Gun (Hello World) is a panic button that does not build shotgun immunity on the Husk. Do not farm Pacifist (no shotgun) until vanilla is comfortable.
Memories (Bunker, Spirit Helper, Mansion) are designed around smaller teams. Solo Bunker is reasonable after you know sound meters. Solo Mansion is harsher when Pests climb.
Modifiers that like low player count
Blizzard fireplace drain scales with player count. Solo Blizzard on Night 1 is the teaching version: one log runner who never also carries a gas can. Larry as Krampus still hits windows. Stay inside with the fire lit after 20 seconds of exposure.
House Chaos is every live Night 1 modifier except Multiversal. Pubs wipe on fireplace math and Party RNG. Solo or duo is how community clears happen. Reward is Calamity, not Raver — Outfits. Watch Party window breaks; they can void Shatterproof even if Larry never touched the glass — Party.
Bloodmoon 4 AM rebound still needs two scare cycles. Solo: do not open the front door for a generator run at 4 AM unless you can close it behind you. The Mutant.
What solo does not fix
- Sole Survivor needs a 4-player lobby where everyone else dies. You cannot earn it at player cap 1.
- Guardian Angel needs another survivor’s chase to steal. Skip it in true solo.
- Juggernaut (three Medkits) needs other players’ kits in the world. Shop Medkit helps; the badge text still wants a group.
Play solo to learn routing. Queue co-op for badges that name other people. Prep checklist: Night prep.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Residence Massacre survivors.
Can you play Residence Massacre solo?
Yes. Set the car player cap to 1. The game is still designed for co-op, so expect tighter routing and no one else on cameras.
Is House Chaos easier solo?
The Blizzard fireplace drain is easier with fewer players. Party window RNG and closet QTE still punish mistakes. Community clears are often solo or duo, not random pubs.
What should a solo player buy first in the Coins Shop?
Battery if you lack Better Flashlight, then Lemonade or Bloxy Cola. Radar waits until Night 2. Hats last.
Can you get Sole Survivor in a solo lobby?
No. Sole Survivor requires a four-player game where you are the only one who lives. Use player cap 4 and hope the others wipe.
Should solo players skip the Night 1 TV secret?
Yes if daylight is gone. Survival beats lore. The satellite uses the same ladder as cameras.
