Residence Massacre Night 1 Badge Routes After the Rework
How to farm Guardian Angel, trap steps, no-closet clears, shatterproof windows, and all-modifier House Chaos.
Night 1 still teaches The Mutant, but the August 21, 2026 rework added chase-steal, trap, and no-closet badges that old 2025 guides never mention. This page is the farm list for the house. Outfit percent lives on Mutation Outfit. Full catalog: Badges Reference and the Badge Tracker. Place 14437001043. Coins, not TIX. No codes.
The video shows a House Chaos clear on the reworked house — useful once you can already window-light Larry. Do not start Chaos on your first pub. Earn Survivor, Technician, and Shatterproof first.
Badge Index rules that matter here
Lead Factory Worker in the lobby parking lot tracks non-limited badges toward Mutation. Event Halloween/Christmas rows are usually outside that bar. House Chaos awards the Calamity outfit. Raver is the 75% Mutation milestone, retied on Outfit Changes (August 23, 2026) — not the House Chaos skin anymore.
Foundation Night 1 badges (do these first)
| Badge | How | Typical reward |
|---|---|---|
| Going Home | Join a Night 1 round | 10 Coins |
| Massacred | Die to The Mutant | 10 Coins |
| Electrocuted | Fuse box without Wrench, or wrong wire | 10 Coins |
| Asphyxia | Suffocate when the generator hits zero | 10 Coins |
| Spooked | Die while watching cameras | Eye Poppers hat |
| Technician | Place all four cameras | Headphones hat |
| Escape Artist | Break a Mutant chase without dying | Ninja Headband hat |
| Survivor | Survive Night 1 | Paper Crown hat |
| Bloodmoon | Survive Night 1 with Bloodmoon | Crowbar in Coins Shop |
Technician fights the TV satellite for the ladder. Place cameras first if you want the hat; dish second.
Electrocuted and Asphyxia are cheap Mutation percent: one dedicated wipe run, then play for keeps. Do not farm them on a friend’s first clear.
Rework skill badges
Guardian Angel
In Night 1, steal a chase from another player (walk into line of sight or stun so Larry retargets you), then survive that chase. Reward: 50 Coins. You need at least two living players. Call “steal” before you peek. Win with a closet QTE or a clean break; dying after the steal awards nothing.
Tripping Hazard
Step on three Mutant spit traps in one Night 1. Reward: 50 Coins. Traps spawn when a chase lasts long enough for Larry to vomit a flesh mound (30 damage + slow, then the trap explodes). Farm in a consenting duo: one kites, one steps. Bring Medkit or Bloxy Cola if you already own them. Do not farm this in a random Night 3 lobby.
No Place to Hide
Survive Night 1 without entering a closet. Reward: 50 Coins. Window lights still scare Larry outside. Once he is inside, you kite, break LOS, and repair — you cannot use the QTE as a reset. Easier with three camera callers and an iron door policy. Harder solo. If you panic-click a closet, reset the night.
Shatterproof and Bloodstained Windows
Shatterproof: survive Night 1 without Larry breaking any window. Reward: 75 Coins. Lights on the threatened room before glass pops. Keep the front door shut so he does not skip windows. Bloodstained Windows: same window rule on Bloodmoon. Reward: Night Vision hat. Bloodmoon is faster; practice vanilla Shatterproof first.
House Chaos → Calamity
Survive Night 1 with all modifiers stacked (Thunderstorm, Bloodmoon, Party, Graves, Blizzard, and whatever the lobby still lists as house chaos). Reward: Calamity outfit. The EclipseGL-style video on this page is the reference clear, not a beginner route. Unlock modifiers via their own badges or event windows — see Modifiers. Chaos is a Mutation row, not a shortcut to Raver.
Modifier house badges (selected)
| Badge | Stack | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Backyard Curse | Graves | Witch Hat |
| Crimson Graves | Graves + Bloodmoon | Zombie outfit |
| Blizzard | Blizzard | Scarf hat |
| Bloody Snow | Blizzard + Bloodmoon | Krampus outfit |
| Party’s Over | Party | Partygoer outfit |
| Weird Strict Residence | Multiversal (April Fools window) | Jerry outfit |
Limited April Fools rows may be out of season. Check April Fools 2026.
Efficient farm order
- Going Home / Massacred / Survivor — one or two pubs.
- Technician — dedicated camera run; read Camera Setup.
- Electrocuted / Asphyxia / Spooked — one throwaway night.
- Escape Artist — practice indoor roam on Night 1.
- Shatterproof — then Bloodmoon variant.
- Guardian Angel — scheduled duo.
- Tripping Hazard — scheduled trap night.
- No Place to Hide — after closet QTE feels optional, not mandatory.
- House Chaos — last.
Coins from these badges feed the Coins Shop. Crowbar still wants Bloodmoon (Night 1) or Bloody Job (Night 2) depending on the row — confirm in the Badge Index after Outfit Changes.

Farm the house badges before you live in Endless. The Mutant on Night 1 is still the cleanest classroom in the game.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Residence Massacre survivors.
How do you get Guardian Angel in Residence Massacre?
On Night 1, steal The Mutant's chase from a teammate with line of sight or a stun, then survive that chase. It needs a second player.
What is Tripping Hazard in Residence Massacre?
Step on three Mutant spit traps during one Night 1. Long chases make Larry vomit trap mounds that deal damage and slow you.
Does House Chaos still give the Raver outfit?
No. House Chaos awards Calamity. Raver is the 75% Badge Index / Mutation milestone after the August 23, 2026 outfit pass.
How do you get Shatterproof on Night 1?
Survive without letting The Mutant break any window. Scare him with room lights at windows and keep the front door closed.
Can you earn No Place to Hide while using closets?
No. Any closet hide voids the badge. Use window lights and kiting until 6AM.
